Hi all!

Wanted to share with you --

I tried these explosion boxes and had so much fun in making them. I gave them for gifts at a friends bridal shower. We had pictures of the bridal party, which were all old girlfriends. The girls all loved them and wanted to know how I did them.

I'll try to take some pictures and show how they came out.

I made a smaller version of this for a friends 40th ruby wedding anniversary, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out :)

The explosion boxes are fun aren't they!?

You can make them into mini-albums by putting pictures on the sides of the "box", I've seen some where there are several layers to the box.

So many possibilities with such a simple (and fun) pattern.

:) Wow, this is an invaluable craft. I went to the scrapbook store and they had one for sale themed for a birthday party. It was $21.99! This was in Katy, TX. I am very thankful for your instructions. I can't wait to make my own.
I have one question.
Where did you get those month and date stickers on the box pictured in your final example?

These are great little boxes, aren't they? And you can make them as fancy and expensive as you want to -- depending on the papers & embellishments.

Can't say where the stickers on the photographed box came from, but I'd look at Making Memories alphabet stickers that are about 3/4" size. I have used these before in a number of colors. They are small, but really nice.

Wanted to add another idea:

saw that someone made the bottom of the box and then folded it FLAT, tied it with ribbon and used it as a flip open card.

A way to send one of these cute things in the mail!
